Hello, I'm Emma
I live in the Howardian Hills, just by Castle Howard, and when you go away, I come and stay in your home with your pet.
Not quick visits, I'm there for the whole stay. I work part-time from home, so your pet has company throughout the day as well as overnight. This means walks, meals and medication are all kept in their routine, essential for anxious dogs. Same bed, same garden, same walk at the same time each day.
I look after your home as carefully as your pet and leave it as I found it. You'll get photos and updates of your pet whilst you are away so you're not wondering.
Rosie's Way is named after my own dog, Rosie. She taught me most of what I know about patience, companionship and paying proper attention to a dog's needs and after she passed away, I wanted to find a way to spend time around dogs again without rushing into another dog of my own before I'm ready.
I'm a qualified work-from-home online therapist by profession, which means a lot of my working life is built around trust, confidentiality and paying close attention, qualities that carry over directly into caring for someone's pet in their own home. I treat every stay with the same care and discretion I'd want if it were my own home and pet.
You can feel confident about who is in your home and who holds a key to your home.
As a therapist, I am reliable, trustworthy and confidential. Being calm and attentive are second nature to me.
I am there throughout the day, not just overnight.
You will always deal with me. I take time to get to know your pet's routine before I start.
I am insured through Cliverton, a specialist pet care insurer, covering both public liability and your pet while in my care.
A mature, reliable pair of hands. I have been around dogs all my life.
What I don't offer: I do not take pets to stay overnight at my own home. That's a different, licensed activity (home boarding) under a separate council licence, which I don't hold. Everything I offer takes place at your home, where your pet is most comfortable.
Some pets settle anywhere. Most don't. Rather than moving yours to kennels or a stranger's house, I come to you. This means your dog(s) or cat(s) have their same bed, same garden, same walk, and meals at the times they are used to.
I work part-time flexible hours from home, which means I'm there with your dog throughout the day too, not just overnight, which means they have no long stretches alone. Essential for anxious pets or older pets, or any dogs on medication that needs timing.
£50 per night which includes travel within 10 miles.
Bank holidays and the Christmas/New Year period is £75 per night.
